Tours is accessible by TGV from Paris, Montparnasse station (55 min), Roissy-Charles de Gaulle international airport (1h35), London (4h20), Brussels (3h30) or Geneva. The city of Tours is also at the crossroads of the motorways that cross France from north to south and from east to west. Tours airport offers direct flights to London and Dublin.
Important information if traveling by train or plane:
If you travel by plane, the best solution is to land at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport, from where you can also reach Orly airport to pick up intra-European flights. There is a direct TGV line between CDG airport and Tours (Saint-Pierre des Corps). There are also possibilities to travel by plane from Paris CDG to Tours-Val de Loire airport.

Tours is connected to most major cities in France and Europe by the TGV network. Many TGV trains leave for Tours from Montparnasse Station in Paris, following the Paris - Bordeaux line. Some trains go directly to Tours Centre, but most stop at the TGV station in Saint-Pierre des Corps. In this case, a shuttle bus frequently leaves Saint-Pierre des Corps for Tours Centre (5 min). This shuttle is usually included in your ticket. Usually, the shuttle leaves from the opposite platform after each arrival of a TGV. The Tours Centre train station is located in the city centre, close to many hotels and bus connections.

Where are we in Tours:
Our institute is located in the southern part of the city of Tours (Parc Grandmont), about 15-20 min from the city centre by bus. The bus lines are coded with a number and a color code. Bus tickets can be bought on the buses for about 1,30€. Buses leave from many places in the city, but depending on the location of your hotel, it is sometimes easier to take your bus from the main station in front of the Town Hall (place Jean Jaurès). Buses heading south should be taken from the stop on the left side of the street when you are facing the Hotel de Ville. This stop is close to the station: when leaving the station, take the pedestrian street on the left (attention: the bus station opposite the station corresponds to the inter-city buses). To get to Grandmont Park, you can take line 26 to Grandmont Park (stop at 'Faculté de Grandmont'), or line 02A to Pôle Santé Vinci (get off at 'Faculté de Grandmont'), or line 11 to Joué Blotterie (stop at 'Faculté de Grandmont'), or line 05B to St Pierre Gare via Jean Jaurès then Deux Lions (stop at 'Faculté de Grandmont'). Our Institute (building I) corresponds to the building located in the south-east corner of the intersection of rue d'Arsonval and avenue Monge, opposite the Faculty's administrative building.
