Research fellows and Directors of research at the CNRS

As a Joint Research Unit of the CNRS and the University of Tours, IRBI hosts many CNRS staff and benefits from a great experience in the preparation of the CNRS recruitment competitions.
If you wish to join the IRBI as a CR (Chargé de Recherches) or DR (Directeur de Recherches) CNRS, we can offer you personalised support throughout your preparation, whether in (1) setting up your project, (2) choosing the sections in which to apply, (3) writing your application file and finally in (4) preparing your oral. Because the CNRS competitions are very specific, very competitive and require a relatively long preparation, it is important to contact us as soon as possible to set up all these preparation steps.

What is the procedure?

If you do not yet have a contact at IRBI, please send an email to the team leader of the team you would like to join and to the researcher you would like to work with. The list of emails can be found here. In your email, you should briefly explain why you have chosen this team (and this researcher) and outline your proposed research project. We will then contact you shortly. Because the IRBI's capacity is not infinite and applications must be submitted in the first week of January of each year, we reserve the right not to support applicants whose project does not fit within the IRBI's research objectives and/or who have not contacted us before September of the current year.
